The last few months have been tough on almost everyone. I personally have struggled with home-schooling two children whilst trying to manage my own anxiety and fear over what was happening.
Thankfully I run a business which allowed me to take time out without too much stress and had a workshop full of craft materials which got me through the darker days.
I have loved discovering some of the old crafts which used to take up my time while discovering new ones. Isn't it funny how busy we become and how easy it is to lose sight of what it is that lights us up?
Before the pandemic hit my time was 100% focused on helping others start and grow their own creative business but this time has reminded me how much I love to create things myself. To take an idea from a sketch on paper and develop it into something which is good enough to sell.
I enjoyed creating so much that during the pandemic I started a new business over on Etsy as a little side line and have loved watching that grow into a second income stream. I am thankful for all my experience with starting The Keepsake Company and have applied everything that I teach others to my new business which has meant it has all fallen into place so much quicker than when I started my first business nearly 20 years ago.
Did you know that the average millionaire has 7 streams of income while the average person has just one? How many do you currently have? I don't have 7 but this is my plan going forward and thankfully when you know how to start a creative and multi-faceted business there is no end to what you can achieve financially.
If you are interested in starting a creative business or would like to find ways to introduce creativity into your life a little more then I would love to take this opportunity to invite you into a brand new "Creators Community" where not only will you learn some simple creative projects which you can use to create wonderful keepsakes and mementos of your loved ones, you will learn to make some gorgeous gifts for Christmas too.
If you love creativity as much as I do you can also find out how to turn what you learn into an income too.
Life is too short to be stuck in an office or on a computer.. make sure that even if it is just for a bit of fun you find some time to get creative. It is a wonderful stress reliever and the fact that you could not only do something for yourself at the same time as creating gifts for others it is totally guilt free "Me time"

I came away from my first session with her and knew that this was going to be an exciting adventure. I worked from home for a couple of years before opening my shop just under 4 years ago.Ceri.
