The Keepsake Co introduce 'Bella and Bow'

7th May 2015

The Keepsake Co take this opportunity to support 'Bella and Bow' as they are part of the extended Keepsake family!

A different type of business – Bella and Bow

Launched in September 2014, Bella & Bow was born when two friends put their heads together and shared their dreams of building a business that was based on being friendly, approachable and personal. Having a background in two already successful Keepsake businesses, Kelly and Fiona set out to develop a range of unique, handcrafted and individually sourced gifts that would bring a smile to every customer.

The Keepsake Co - 'Bella and Bow'Running a successful family business wasn’t always easy, as Kelly recalls:
"Starting out was quite overwhelming as there was so much to do. The biggest struggle for us was probably working on our branding. It was really important to us that we got it right and had a brand that we thought reflected the personality of Bella & Bow, as well the direction we intended to take the business in. Taking our time over decisions ensured we achieved an end result, that portrayed our business well and resulted in a brand we love."

Hard word, dedication and family love

The hard work put into their new business certainly paid off for Kelly and Fiona. After launching in September, Christmas was their first big milestone and, with a target in mind, they got to work. Thanks to their efforts and the support of their lovely customers, they reached their target – creating a really proud moment for the hardworking mums.

When it comes to keeping their feet on the ground though, Kelly and Fiona know exactly what they want.

"We set up Bella & Bow to build a business that could grow alongside our families. It’s really important to us that our children are involved every step of the way and feel involved in the business.

The thing we love most about what we do is being able to capture special moments for people to cherish forever. There’s nothing more satisfying than getting a message from a happy customer who has received so much joy in receiving their finished piece. Some of the messages are very touching.

Thinking about the endless possibilities for the business, along the directions we can take the business in, is very exciting and keeps us incredibly passionate. Whilst our aim is to grow the business, we are passionate about ensuring we always provide a personal service and go the extra mile for our customers."

A really personal service with customer love at its core

Bella and Bow are one of those rare companies that truly appreciate their customers. They pride themselves on having values that include ensuring each customer is kept updated at every stage of their order, as well as making each piece with the same love, care and attention that would go into a piece for one of their own family.

Working with customers who are looking to capture memories (for themselves and/or loved ones) with a special and unique piece of jewellery or gift, this combination of personal service and heart-based devotion to what they create, ensures their customers recommend them and help spread the joy with their friends, family and social media friends.

Any last minute advice for mums looking to start their own home-based business?

Since launching their business in September 2014, life has certainly been hard work and full of excitement for both Kelly and Fiona – so what advice would they give to a stay-at-home mum that’s contemplating starting her own business?

"Running your own business is a rollercoaster ride – but hold on tight and remember to enjoy it!"
