Raring2go! Publisher Appoints Richard Davies QFP As A Non Executive Director

Raring2go! franchisor and publisher Mojo Publishing Limited has appointed Richard Davies QFP as a new Non Executive Director. The appointment begins with immediate effect.

Davies, a colourful, experienced and hugely respected franchise professional is known equally well in franchising circles on both side of the Atlantic. His career stretches over 20 years during which he has been involved in all specialisms within the varied franchise mix.

He joins Raring2go! with a mandate to help grow the franchise network organically whilst using his wide reaching marketing background, reach and expertise to reinforce its advertising values to family facing brands.

Davies says: ‘I’ve know Raring2go! for many years and long felt I could add a new dimension to their proposition. I am looking forward to making a positive and immediate impact’ He adds: ‘There is great synergy between us and I have a lot of respect for the franchise model and the journey it has been on under Mojo’s tenure since it acquired the business in 2006’.

Raring2go! is the magazine and website franchise aimed at primary school families across the UK. Like many businesses it survived the Covid era and lingering slow return battle-weary but ready for the challenge of re-growth.

Frederick St. George MBE, managing director of Raring2go! says: ‘I’ve known Richard for such a long time. We both have philanthropy at our core and share the same values and vision. We need Richard to come in and make things happen. He is a driven and focussed professional and I have no doubt his energy and passion will make a huge difference to our business’.

Since 2020 Raring2go! have reinforced their reach by launching 70 non-franchised territories each producing quarterly editions of the magazine and maintaining websites. This brings their network size to over 100 areas. These editions complement neighbouring franchise owned territories successfully whilst adding deeper reach to national, regional and local brands that use them to communicate with families.

What Our Franchisees Say

I have achieved so much in my confidence, building friendships, getting out into networking groups. If you’re thinking of working for yourself, to have a great job opportunity that is flexible around your family and lets you still do everything you need to do for your family then Raring2go! is for you.Kiri St George Editor Raring2go! - Worthing

I have never felt the value of being in a team more than in these last few months. Although I am my own boss, the support of our franchisor during lockdown, has been second to none. That support has seen regular and honest communication; training; practical advice; forward planning; and pulling together all editors to share ideas on how best to support customers and motivate each other.Sally Walters, Editor Raring2go! – Kidderminster & Stourbridge

I’m proud to be part of the Raring2go! national family and love what I do. Every day brings something new and we not only help local families have fun and make the most of the local area but we help local businesses reach those families, helping our local areas thrive. What’s not to love about that? #Raring2go!Victoria Withy Editor Raring2go! - Aberdeen City & Shire
