Janet Sipp - Owner
I've been an ICU nurse and university professor for 22 years. You do not have to be “Handy” to be a Mr. Handyman Owner. My husband and I have enjoyed working together on homes we purchased and renovated. We're both creative and willing to work hard for that potential we initially see in a house.
Some of our purchases require more "vision" than others but we are passionate about turning houses into homes. I feel we bring this passionate drive and energy to my management of Mr. Handyman. When I don't have a paintbrush in my hand, I enjoy reading and growing roses

As a woman Mr Handyman was a fantastic way for me to own my own business. It’s not something I would have done on my own but I am really grateful for this franchise and the support I get. It is a great business for a woman as we know what needs to be done around the house.
Mr. Handyman, a national home repair and maintenance franchise and the world’s No. 1 employer of handymen worldwide, has just announced that television’s most famed handyman persona, Richard Karn, the competent and dryly humorous character Al Borland from ABC’s former sitcom “Home Improvement,” they have extended the partnership with Entrepreneur Magazines No1 ranked Handyman franchise and will serve as the national spokesperson and face of the brand for the next two years. During eight seasons as Tim Allen’s sidekick on “Tool Time,” the show within a show on “Home Improvement,” Karn and cast enjoyed the spotlight as part of America’s number one family comedy throughout the 90’s.
Starting in 2008, Karn will enjoy a new kind of spotlight as Mr. Handyman’s spokesperson, providing the face and personality for the brand. “I am thrilled to be a part of the Mr. Handyman family,” Karn said. “In addition to my handyman role on ‘Home Improvement,’ my father and other relatives were builders and architects, and I am a strong believer in the Mr. Handyman concept and its mission to provide consumers with professional, credible and reliable handymen for a variety of home repair and maintenance requests.
