Claire finds fulfilment with Clive's Pop Music Schools
11th October 2007
My name is Claire Holmes. I am happily married to Marco with whom I have three young girls. We currently own a village store, although previously we have successfully worked for large companies. We decided to turn our backs on our careers and run a village store for many reasons but mainly because we wanted a better quality of life, working together and raising our children together.
However, I have always had an interest in music and wanted to find a way to get children involved from a young age. I started to search the Internet to see if there was currently anything similar to what I wanted to achieve. It was then that I discovered the Clive's Easylearn Pop Music Schools Franchise and having looked into it further, I realised what a fantastic opportunity I had come across.
Here was a business that ticked all the boxes in terms of teaching children music, in a fun, exciting and easy way. More importantly it gets the children jamming right from their very first lesson. This was exactly how I envisaged a music school, in fact it was better and I wanted to be a part of it.
I called Clive Brooks, the Franchise owner, who was extremely helpful. He answered the many questions I had, but then suggested a meeting to discuss the franchise and opportunity further, as well as visiting one of his schools.
Since that meeting, I’ve not looked back. Franchising took many of the risks of setting up your own business, away. With over 60 outlets already set up in the Clive’s network, it was clear that Clive’s system works. Everything is in place and a step-by-step guide ensured I had a focused plan on what I had to do. The hard work comes in the effort I had to make. Yes, the systems are there, the support, the guidance, the encouragement, but in the end it is the effort my husband and I put in. Only the combination of this and the successful franchise system provided by Clive, was I confident of a successful long-term business.
It doesn’t stop there though. I have had, and continue to have the full support, guidance and expertise of not only Clive, but also his wife Mandy and daughter Sophie, who work so hard to support our plans for a successful and long-term business. It is a result of this, that I now have four music schools that are growing on a weekly basis and I want to open more in the future.
I love and enjoy what I do so much. I never could have imagined achieving this without the support of Clive’s Franchise. We are now selling our shop, as this has given us the opportunity to change our future and do something that we really wish to do. Franchising has given us this opportunity and for anyone wishing to set up their own business, with the full support and guidance of a company, I would fully recommend considering this as an option.
