How friends Becky and Rebecca became part of Cook Stars and their journey so far:
"I'm Becky Ross and together with Rebecca Patrick we are launching Cook Stars in Amber Valley and Erewash.
I knew within minutes of attending a Discovery Day that this job would be perfect for me. Having previously worked within a successful franchise I had dreamt of owning my own. I researched cookery franchises last year but the timing wasn't right. Earlier this year my friend Rebecca was looking for a new job and I suggested we look into building a franchise together. We both love cooking and working with children so it seemed a perfect match. We went back to researching various franchises and Cook Stars stood out as one of the most professional and successful brands. The Discovery Day was in two days time so we felt that fate was helping us along.
Since signing up, Cathy and the team have been a great support putting up with our endless queries. By the time we attended our training weekend we felt that we knew Cathy and Faye already. Training was fun and relaxed, and covered all aspects of running the business and classes. No question was made to feel silly and Cathy is very willing to take on other peoples' ideas.
Having returned home we have been non-stop with confirming venues, doing risk assessments and getting our business 'out there', but Cathy, Faye and Jo have been there as support all the way. Our classes start in just over a weeks time - I'm very nervous but also very excited. I feel prepared and know that the support will be there along the way!"
I have been totally blown away with the level of support that I have received from Cook Stars. Although I am running my own business and have the freedom that comes with it, I also feel like I'm not alone as I'm part of a lovely team.Laura franchisee South and East Ayrshire
3Filling my first class was part of my franchise package (and done for me by Cook Stars Head office) – I had no idea this would happen within 48 hours! Hearing my phone constantly ‘ping’ with new order notifications sent me into a frenzy of excitement. AND then having bookings going onto a waiting list!Helen Worcester
After running my classes for just two months, I have 5 classes established which are all full with waiting lists! I have also delivered two themed workshops that were very popular.Laura franchisee South and East Ayrshire
