3rd August 2008 - Shoes Galore

A “Shoenique” franchise opportunity

"I now work around 40 hours a month and I am so much happier in this job; actually, I don’t see it as a job. I now earn a great deal more and work a great deal less.” - Nicola, Shoes Galore Franchise

“A girl can never have enough fabulous shoes, bags and accessories from Shoes Galore!” Shoes Galore report that a recent survey suggests that more than 50% of women own over 30 pairs of shoes and that the UK footwear market is worth over 6 billion a year and women’s footwear is around 47% of this massive market.

Shoes Galore has found a unique way to tap into this substantial market by selling shoes and accessories exclusively designed by Shoes Galore and manufactured by small friendly owned businesses in and around Europe, but mainly in Spain and Italy.

Shoes Galore is the only franchise shoe business of its kind operating in the UK and is proud that it operates a family-friendly business. This business opportunity is run by women for women and includes a wide range of direct sales channels, such as home parties, charity and corporate events and shoe fashion shows!

The initial franchise fee is affordable and the risk factor is very low. In the initial set-up fee of £4,900 (plus Vat) includes retail stock of just over £3,600. Shoes Galore is the design and wholesale operation and offers a franchisee agreement that has no monthly or percentage-of-turnover management fee.

The shoes designed by the company are exclusive in the UK to Shoes Galore Ltd and are purchased in small quantities, meaning that all customers are purchasing unique products at prices very competitive with the high street and range from £19 to £79.

After Nicola’s children had grown up, she returned to work for a large travel company. Nicola use to work 20 hours per week and earned between £450 to £500 per month.

She says “At the travel agency I felt restricted, as you had to be there early in the morning and, quite often I didn’t get home until around six o’clock in the evening and found that I worked additional hours that I was never paid for. “I now work around 40 hours a month and I am so much happier in this job; actually, I don’t see it as a job. I now earn a great deal more and work a great deal less.”

Nicola has a diary that is booked up until the end of July and now taking bookings for September and October parties. “I already have nine parties booked for the autumn range and have found that at each party I have taken at least one and sometimes three party bookings,” she says.
