Tatty Bumpkin, a children’s bfa accredited franchise has added another 6 franchisees to the network, which may not be surprising, except that they all happened in one month. This takes the total number of operational franchisees up to 26 from Edinburgh in the North, down to Plymouth in the South-West.
"We have invested in Social Media, and SEO marketing, in addition to improving the communication via our website. New traffic is up 54%." Says founder Sam Petter.
"In addition, over the past 18 months we have taken on less new franchisees, but focused on consolidating and improving the sales of the existing network. This is reflected in better sales figures across all franchisees – up 39% on 2010/11.
We have also invested in updating and improving the quality of our product, and this again is reflected in the increased take-up of not only franchises, but of the children’s classes for the franchisees themselves. We have a quality product that is consistent and evolving, in addition to keeping our growth steady to maintain quality on all fronts."
This quality is reflected in the staff achievements - Sam Morgan, head of Franchise recruitment, recently won the EWIF women’s franchise employee of the year 2012.
International expansion is also underway with a country licence to China currently being finalised.
Tatty Bumpkin; the bendy, giggly world for clever minds and strong bodies is practising what it preaches by converting a clever idea into a strong and robust global franchise operation.
