Lloyds TSB has stepped up the support it offers the UK franchises, by launching a new team of Franchise Development Managers across the country. The thirteen-strong team, which will work across England, Scotland and Wales, will help forge ties with franchisors and provide banking and financial support to franchisees.
Richard Holden, Head of Franchising at Lloyds TSB said "Franchising is a real success story in the UK, but both franchisees and franchisors need support from bank managers who understand this sector. The Franchise Development Managers have participated in a comprehensive training programme which has be supported by Brian Smart, Director General of the British Franchise Association, David Buist, Select Appointments, Brian Duckett, Howarth Franchising and Derrick Simpson, Franchise Resales Limited.
Nigel Toplis, Chairman of the British Franchise Association, speaking at a reception hosted by the bank acknowledged Lloyds TSB’s commitment to the franchise sector and praised the launch of the new team.
In addition to the new managers, Lloyds TSB’s dedicated Franchise Unit has also boosted the telephone support available to customers, which will allow both franchisees and franchisors to get the help and advice they need, as and when they want it.
